My name is John Miller and I live in Oxford.
I work as a general dental practitioner in central Oxford.
I heard of Rutherford Wilkinson’s services through receiving the twice monthly email newsletter ‘Financial Tips’, which was recommended by a friend.
I got in touch as I felt I had no control over my finances and had no idea what my position would be when I retired. I wanted to plan for the future and have an effect before it was too late. Prior to getting in contact with Rutherford Wilkinson my position (financially) was chaotic and I had no long term plan that I could understand or have any influence over.
From the initial contact with Rutherford Wilkinson I was very impressed with the service we received and was constantly kept up to date with how things were progressing.
The main benefit of dealing with Ray Prince and the company was that we were able to formulate our own personal plan and then decide how we could best achieve this.
The end result was that for the first time we have begun to understand where we are financially and have some idea how to achieve our long term goals. Beforehand, we had always taken out a policy on recommendation without understanding the full implications of the advice given. This made it clear the big difference between a financial adviser who was always tied to a company and a true financial planner giving a bespoke service to us with no ties to any particular company.
From our experiences so far I would definitely recommend that other dentists and doctors use Rutherford Wilkinson’s services.
I would recommend a prospective client to start with the newsletter as it gives a good insight into the philosophy of the company and, where possible, to get a personal recommendation from a client.
