My name is Greg Morse, I live just outside Birmingham and I’m a Dental Surgeon in a general dental practice.
I got in touch with Rutherford Wilkinson because I was concerned about the pension advice I’d been given, or rather the lack of it. I like to believe that my finances were in a reasonable state before I spoke to Rutherford Wilkinson and then to Ray Prince of Rutherford Wilkinson, but on reflection I feel they could have been much better organised.
My experience of working with Ray Prince of Rutherford Wilkinson has been a very positive one, particularly I was impressed by the quantitative approach and objective approach that involved us with judgement of the best route to deal with our finances. My financial affairs I feel have been far better organised. My wife is also a Dental Surgeon and I am in partnership with her in general practice and it has been very useful to now appreciate where we stand. Clearly, it is something that needs ongoing monitoring which we hope to do with Ray Prince.
Following consultation with Ray we now know that we don’t need to make further contributions into pensions over and above what we are already paying so it has been very helpful to reassure us we on track to retire at an age which we have chosen.
I would be very happy to recommend Rutherford Wilkinson and I consider their help invaluable to financial planning. Although I have no criticism of other financial advice that I have received in the past this is the first time I have had someone quantitatively analyse my current position and try to explain where we stand considering our future financial needs.
In terms of whether you, Dentist or Doctor, should contact, or any other person for that matter, and seek financial advice, my advice would be that they certainly should contact and seek advice. The initial consultation didn’t cost us anything, there was a clear explanation as to the procedure that would be followed in terms of the help that would be given, what costs would be involved and then we were allowed to consider as to whether we wanted to avail ourselves of that help so I would suggest that any Dentist, Doctor or similar professional would find the advice invaluable.
