What's Your 'PYIR' Programme All About? - Hot Topics Q & A

QuestionMark.jpgQ. I received an email from you a few days ago with a video of the results of a recent survey you conducted. At the end of the video you provided brief details of the 'Planning Your Ideal Retirement' (PYIR) programme that you are running in January 2009. What are the details of this and how will I know if it's right for me?

A. Yes, we are accepting applications for this on December 4th at 6pm. We have actually offered this twice before and on both occasions all the available places were taken (6 for each one). The programme was developed as a result of a great deal of market research into what doctors and dentists wanted the most with their financial planning.

Many told us that they were (or had been in the past) disillusioned with the service they were receiving from traditional financial advisers who provide more of a policy selling service as opposed to helping them create a financial strategy (that is regularly reviewed) for the rest of their lives.

So, in brief, the Programme includes:

  • looking at what your exact goals are
  • analysis of where you are today, including a detailed look at your assets and liabilities
  • compilation of your own financial and lifetime forecast to enable us to create the context upon which you can make your financial decisions
  • you’ll be able to see exactly how long your money will last over the short, medium and long term
  • from this analysis you'll know what action you need to take and how much you need to invest until you retire
  • you'll know how to manage your investments and potentially reduce your ongoing investment costs

Full details will be available on December 4th at 6pm.

You have the opportunity of being able to apply for a place (there'll be a maximum of 6 available) one hour prior to the 6pm release time. You can do this by joining the 'Early Bird' list. This was available at the end of the video. You can click on the link below which will take you straight to the page where you can leave your details.
