Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Licence - Nearly There!

For the last few weeks I've well and truly had my head down as I've been preparing my case study for the Institute of Financial Planning's Certified Financial Planner (CFP) licence.

If you've not heard of this qualification yet, you probably will in the near future.

The CFP tests how financial planning technical knowledge applies to real client scenarios and assesses your financial planning skills.

At the time of writing there are less than 700 CFPs in the UK, out of a total of approximately 75,000 financial advisers (includes all types of adviser).

That's less than 1%!

Should you deal with a CFP?

Maybe, I suppose it depends upon your overall situation and how complex your affairs are.

By dealing with an adviser qualified to CFP level, what you will probably find is someone who takes their professional development seriously and is dedicated to financial planning as a career.

The case study report that I've submitted was 80 pages, so I'll let you know how I got on when I find out the results.

Wish me luck!
