Getting Independent Mortgage Advice - Hot Topics Q&A
Q. How can I be certain that I'm getting impartial mortgage advice?
A. Advisers operating in the mortgage market have been subject to full FSA regulation for over 12 months now (although buy to let mortgage advice is not regulated). You should ask your adviser if they are recommending from the whole marketplace.
If not, it makes sense to find one that does. When they find the mortgage, ask them to present the research to you. This will go some way towards giving you the proof that the product has been selected from all the deals available.
If you've got a question you'd like to ask us just complete the form here and we'll get back to you with an answer (if we publish it we'll keep your name anonymous).
