The True Cost of Active Management
Many investors are unaware of the real costs of investing in stock market based funds. Look at it this way; if you were to invest £1000 per month would you rather have £950 of this money invested or the full £1000?
The answer's obvious, right?
Index and Passive funds give you the opportunity to invest with low charges and to capture the market return. Here's another article on Kim Snider's Blog that looks at this important topic and the benefits of investing in this way. It has a US bias however the fundamentals apply in the UK as well.
